How to Measure Lug and Buckle Width

The lug width is the distance between the two inner metal arms (lugs) of the watch case where the strap attaches. The buckle width is the measurement of the strap where it connects to the buckle hardware (or the inside gap of the buckle itself).

Tools you will Need

• A Digital Caliper. (The best option to measure, but if you don't have it at home, don't worry. Many other option that you can use)

• A standard metric ruler. (Make sure always align your measurement starting precisely at the inner part)

• Tailor's tape. (Ensure the tape is laid flat without pulling or applying tension)

• Ruler App on Smartphone. (Always check the app’s settings for a Calibration option)
